3GSM: Nokia boosts E-series range

Nokia has announced the latest additions to its expanding E-series range of business phones, including a slider, a mobile emailer and a Communicator-style smartphone.

Mobile Choice has already handled all three devices and, we can testify, the phone with the mass-market appeal is the E65 (approx £250), which has a beautiful sliding action, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, email, a 16 million colour display and a 2 megapixel camera amongst its feature set. While packed with assets, the phone feels compact and very robust and offers good battery life.

The awesome looking E90 (approx £500) is Nokia's latest Communicator to hit the business market. Unlike previous grey models, it's sleek and black with a clever hinge mechanism which holds the screen solidly in place while you use the full keyboard.

The E90 is rammed with features, including HSDPA (3.5G), Wi-Fi, two cameras (a 3.2 megapixel main camera with zoom and a video calling camera), and built-in GPS with Nokia maps application

Finally, the E61i  (approx £250) is simply a tweaked version of the popular E61 push-email. The main differences include a slimmer profile, a slightly tweaked design, a new joypad control, some additional hard keys and a 2 megapixel camera. The original E61 had no camera at all.
