Sony Ericsson launches two new Cyber-shot phones

Sony Ericsson unveiled two new Cyber-shot handsets today, the K810i (pictured) and K550i. Following on from the (Mobile Choice) award winning K800i, the K810i keeps the core elements of the first Cyber-shot phone but adds a new circular keypad design, illuminated camera icons and Photo Fix photo editing software. The 3.2-megapixel camera lens, Xenon flash and autofocus still remain, as do the 3G and tri-band capabilities. Sony Ericsson has included illuminated shortcut photo keys on the 1,4,7 and * keys on the main keypad when in capture mode while the PC-free built-in Photo Fix photo editing software optimises picture quality after capture. The K810i is expected to appear around Springtime and arrives in Noble Blue and Golden Ivory finishes.

The second Cyber-shot handset is the K550i, a handset with more mass market appeal thanks to a cheaper price tag. The K550i packs a sliding active lens cap that protects a two-megapixel camera lens with autofocus. It's also quite slimline at 14mm thick and is GPRS/EDGE-enabled. An i-mode version, the K550im will also be available and exclusive to O2.

Both editions will ship with the next couple of months and arrive in Jet Black and Pearl White finishes.
