MOTO announces RIZR music phone

After the disappointment of the ROKR E1 with iTunes phone, the MOTORIZR Z6 is Moto's renewed stab at the mobile music mojo. Based on the design of the MOTORIZR Z3, this slider features a dedicated key to access the music player and uses Windows Media Player 11 software to transfer you digital music from the PC via a USB 2.0 connection. Apart from support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+ formats it's also compatible with WMA DRM protected files bought from Windows Media Player affiliated music stores. A microSD card slot is capable of supporting 2GB cards that can store around 500 average-sized MP3 tracks.

The RIZR Z6 also runs of a Linux-based operating system while its features a two-megapixel camera, email support, Bluetooth and Airplane mode so you can listen to the phone's music player on flights. A UK launch date is tbc.
