Samsung ready new HSDPA phone

...but this is the first time one of its smartphones has had killer looks and a mighty feature set. The new i520 is a rather attractive slider, powered by a Series 60 OS and running off HSDPA (3.5G) network speeds. It made its UK debut at the recent Symbian Smartphone Show in London but we're still unsure if it will make it over here for good. While we wait for Samsung to make the right decision we can still tease you with more details.

The i520 uses the E900's touch-sensitive front fascia keys and sports a large 2.3-inch QVGA-quality display. It's still relatively slender at 17.9mm and carries a two-megapixel camera and a front VGA for video-calling. A microSD card slot augments 45MB of internal memory and its built-in music player can spin MP3, AAC, AAC+ eAAC+ and WMA music files. Samsung better launch it over here after waving it in our faces or it will have a riot on its hands.
