Palm and Microsoft get luvvy

The Treo 750v, which is exclusive to Vodafone, features the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system plus a commanding suite of email and business functionality.

The new handset is the evolution of the Treo 650 and offers a number of improvements on the original. Palm has ditched the stubby aerial and added a Windows OS, 3G, push-email, and the ability to view Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. The device is also fully compatible with Vodafone Business email, offering remote access to both business and ISP email accounts.

However, the device still offers a full QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel camera, touch-screen stylus operation, Bluetooth and expandable memory via a miniSD card slot.

Vodafone's Palm Treo 750v will be available through the operator's stores and channels and will cost from free to £150, depending on contract.
