As taken with the LG Arena as we are, we were a little surprised to find that it packed a five-megapixel camera as opposed to the eight found in the LG Renoir. Well, the reason seems to lie with the fact that the manufacturer is set to launch another snappy-savvy handset. Whereas the LG Arena is an all rounder, the LG GC900 is packed with camera delights including an eight-megapixel snapper.
The LG GC900 is still a work in progress, though we were given access to its form factor (albeit through a pane of glass) at the Mobile World Congress. Indeed, the name GC900 may even change, though LG assures us that it won't be called the LG Viewty 2, despite conceding that it is effectively a follow-up to their popular touch-screen device.
However, we did notice that the Scheider-Kreuznach lens is far less protruding than on the LG Renoir, giving it an even slimmer body - just 12.4mm thick. As we said, the finer details are yet to be concluded, but expect the device to feature popular LG camera features such as Beauty Mode and Smile Shot.
